  • Possible to change "?presets" urls to something different?

    • Is it possible to change the url of presets to something else, like "styles" or "skins" for example.

      I would like to allow my site visitors to choose between the various presets for their own viewing pleasure, but I'd rather the urls not be mysite.com/?presets=presetn. I would much rather it be something like mysite.com/?styles=stylen

      Any ideas how I can accomplish this?

    • This is really deeply integrated in Gantry framework so if you would want to accomplish something like this, you would need to change core Gantry framework code but after that, you would loose possibility to update Gantry framework and keep your changes 8)

    • Thanks for the quick reply. I understand about not wanting to mess with core code and certainly would not want to to that route. However, I've been looking into using mod_rewrite and .htaccess as a possibility. I'm pretty sure doing it that way would work and would be would be safe from upgrades. I'm searching all over the Web to find the right rules to add to my .htaccess file, but the amount of information out there is mind boggling. I was hoping somebody here can simply tell me what rules to add.

      I'm using Apache on Linux, if that matters.

    • I am afraid that Apache rewrite rules are really a story for itself and that maybe you should try to search for a help regarding this on some Apache specialised forums :oops:
