  • Ohanah and additional work

    • Hello all

      I could do with either some advice or to be pointed in the right direction really.

      I have an idea for an event site and app.ohanah.com/demo/index.php?src=com_ohanah seems to fit the bill (part of the way). I would like to create a site along the lines of www.picatic.com/ and while I am happy to build this around a RT template I have no idea about what i would need to have done in the backend.

      I will need to buy in the skills to do this for me but I feel a bit silly as I dont know the correct terminolgy, I mean am I asking for a coder, and what skills would I be looking for?

      I have spent a while looking for extensions that I can use and if anybody knows of any better than Ohanah or can maybe give me another view to consider that would be good also.

      This of course doesn't fall in the RT support category so I'm just sharing my personal opinion on my own time.

      The Ohanah app certainly looks interesting. It may be worth trying even if it doesn't end up meeting all your needs. It's an extension so it should install on any Joomla site that meets it minimum requirements.

      You just need an experience Joomla developer. Previous experience with Ohanah would be a plus but not completely necessary. Finding someone you work well with it the most important part.

    • Ohanah is a very interesting extension. I have used it for a couple clients. It gets the job done, I just don't like it.

      Can you be a little more specific as to your goals? Are you looking for online event management? Online ticket sales? Space management? Without this info, you may not get the answer you are looking for.
