• Hi all,

Based on the moderator Dang request in order to receive fast responses my details are:

- My website URL is: request privacy since the site is offline and the issue certainly access to backend. I will also send the detail by private message as requested by them.
- My Joomla version number is : Joomla! 2.5.11 Stable [ Ember ] 26-April-2013 14:00 GMT
- My Rockettheme template version number is: Modulus v1.6.8
- I have used RocketLauncher (there is no version number on the package itself) : Modulus v1.6.8
- My Gantry version number is : Gantry v4.1.12

My issue is:

I have followed Igor's tutorial : www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=66...76550&rb_v=viewtopic but I have an issue regarding the Mainmenu since no description has been provided for this last. I am using Modulus template.

I would like English to be the default language of the website. However according to the tutorial I still have to create an 'English menu' :

- Do I have to move all my secondary items of the main menu to the English menu (since I want this last to be my website default menu)?

- When and how does the roknavmenu module requested at the beginning of the tutorial is used?

Because, when I do that the other items does not display anymore.

Please see the files attached.

Thanks in advance for your help,

MoonDragon

PS : I am really in emergency.

• Please don't send PM to mods of this forum unless they specifically ask you to do so. We have more than 45000 active members and just try to imagine what would happen if only minority of them starts to send unsolicited PMs to mods 8)

If you didn't figure this out already, mainmenu is not used once you enable multilingual config. You only need to keep Default menu item in it (please ask Joomla core developers why they implemented multilingual in that way)

RokNavMenu is used all the time since template injects it automatically if you use menu in template config

Ok, but I still not understand why the associated items are not displayed.

Anyway, it maybe better that I use KMFasTrans PRO ( extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languag...ingual-content/22156 ) since by default I want my site to be in english and the url for this language remain mysite.com instead of mysite.com/en.

I hope KMFasTrans PRO,is fully compatible with the rockettheme templates.

Ps : I have just watched this complementary youtube video , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgVF_m-Yu_s , and it seems impossible to have mysite.com instead of mysite.com/en/ with this method so prefer to leave it by now.

• Well, you are welcome to choose whichever path you like. I didn't invent multilingual settings in Joomla. I just wrote a tutorial which explains how to use it. If you need more info and since this is really a core Joomla feature, you should really ask for a help on official Joomla forum 8)

It can be legitmate if like in my case moderators seem non-responsive (yesterday all moderators may have respond to a maximum of a dozen of thread (not to 45000).

Thanks for your comprehension and help,

MoonDragon

PS : For your information, after several years as a developer (like you) I am presently a business analyst.

• You really can't judge mods based on the number of threads they reply in a day (did you make some statistical analysis about our work yesterday  ). We have much more responsibilities than you can see in the forum. Also, this is free support forum so you really can't expect that we will jump in every thread the very second someone replies. Please allow 24-48 hours max between replies. If you need premier support with faster response time maybe you should use premier support option? 8)

For your information, I am not a developer at all. I really don't understand what does it mean for the purpose of this thread the fact that you are business analyst

No, no Igor it is not free support since we have to renew our membership even when we do not use new template. However you are that the mod must have a lot of work especially during these very sunny days... :)

Because, you seems to believe that I do not know how an IT customer service should work and 'Developer culture'.

Anyway, thanks for the tutorial and all your help (as a non developer you still do great jobs) .

Regards,

MoonDragon

• Actually, yes, it is free. You are paying access to the member's club and that way access to ALL templates and extensions we provide. Support is done for free for our members 8)

Please be aware that your subscription allows you to use templates in accordance with the terms laid down in your membership. Support is not part of that. We provide it for free. Here is what you signed up to in the Terms of Service

Support:
RocketTheme offers these templates and designs "as is", with no implied meaning that they will function exactly as you wish or with all 3rd party components and modules. Further, we offer no support via email or otherwise for installation, customization, administration, etc. A private members-only forum is available to Template Club members. RocketTheme does not commit to monitor these forums, but we reserve the right to respond and answer questions. You acknowledge by your use of the templates that it is at your sole risk, and that you assume full responsibility for all costs associated with all necessary servicing or repairs of any equipment you use in connection with the templates.

Thank you though for compliments on my work :)

You should highlight this with your templates so we could truthfully make attention to it before buying it : else it will be just a misleading/false advertising ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_advertising ).

For example you say everywhere that your templates are mobile friendly : from my experience this is not true and when one ask for support you usually become non-responsive or use magic formula 'it's due to third party'. I am having the mobile issue for more than a year now and until now you have never respond accordingly.
