    • Installing the font on your computer allows you to use that font in your image editing software; like photoshop or fireworks.

When you install ColorMatic it has an image file with a logo already on it. You are most likely going to replace it with one of your own. The source files combined with the font will allow you to create something similar.

    • If you are going to be doing extensive changes like this i suggest you either intall a LAMP stack (apache/mysql/php) locally on your machine and develop there ( apachefriends.org - windows, mamp.info - mac) or use an FTP client that can remote edit and work on your remote machine that way. If you have permissions problems you can try to resolve them with joomlaXplorer. Your not going to get far trying to work inside of cpanel.

      thanks for that

i did install JSAS but it only installs an older version (1.03 i think) of joomla
      which i wasnt comfortable with

      thanks

    • Hi, newbie here - I just joined and downloaded the Digi Mania template to use with Joomla and the template file is a TGZ File. There are 3 files and the other two files are zips. I know how to install zip templates on Joomla but what is a TGZ file. It asked me to open it with a program. Do I just install it on Joomla as if it was a zip. i don't want to corrupt it.

The other two files are color pak and source files. Do I just unzip them and put them in my template folder. Will someone help me. I'm excited about this template.

    • hello janet

the zip files containing source images

are for your use - should you want to change anything - you will need fireworks to edit those
(so you dont need to do anything with these unless you want to)

as for the TGZ file - you just install the same as usuall - just upload using joomla backend

      hope this helps

    • I need help with another problem. I can't seem to get into my css file on the Digimania Template from Joomla Admin. I'm able to get into the html file. It must have installed unwrittable. The screen doesn't change and the tick to choose the template goes unchecked. Do I need to go to the Cpanel to access the css file.

I was trying to find the file to replace the entire header and not just the logo. I'm using the blank header image in PSPX. If anybody out there know the steps in changing the entire header it will help me tremendously. I don't know which file. I'm guessing at it. Another thing how do I find what color the background is - it look white but I think it's a blue grey.

this is the website http://takeemtothebank.com  and I want to replace the entire blue header

      any help would be appreciated

    • Hi Janet, Did you get the answers that you were looking for. I just returned to this forum after being gone for some time. I have found that if you make your post about a specific template it is best to do it in that templates forum. You will almost always find the answers to basic qusetions about how to change your template there and if not someone using that template will already know how to help you out. :)

    • If you mean for the template, you will find it inside the folder of the specific template you choose.

      templates> rt_yourtemplate> index.php

If you mean the index.php for Joomla itself then look in the folder where you installed Joomla.
