    • Thanks for the vid :)

Well, maybe you haven't allowed enough memory for PHP5 to use. You can either set this in php.ini or .htaccess. Either that or maybe you get a time-out on the server or the file is too big. Either way, all this can be set in php.ini or .htaccess. Search the forum or Google it how to do this. Maybe curl needs to be installed too, some templates needs it anyway.

If that does not work then someone else may have to step in on this issue.

    • Hi Newbie here :-)

I hope Im posting in the right place ? If not sorry. I recently joined the wordpress club and downloaded affinity. When uploading theme to my dashboard im getting the following message.

Unable to create directory /usr/www/virtual/nkc/www.bigflashstudio.com/affinity/wp-content/uploads/2010/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Is anybody able to throw any light on the matter. Thanks in advance.

    • Hi,

I have just installed joomla through my ftp, and have already hit an issue.

It is asking for the following information:

      - Database Type
      - Host Name
      - Username
      - Password
      - Database Name

Do I obtain this from my host company? Or can I create these?

      Many thanks

    • I am definitely a newbie developer, and just signed on as a member. I'm trying to upload Rocketlauncher. I got as far as this in the written tutorial:

      "Start the installer
Enter the following link into your web browser, changing the names to reflect your domain name and title of the uploaded Rocket Launcher pack.

      www.yoursite.com "

This configuration of the URL isn't working. The site is hosted on hostgator, and I've setup a subdomain, and subfolder entitled "referencesite" to try loading Rocketlauncher (so I have a reference site to work with). Primary domain is www.commonvibes.com .

Can't access the video tutorial - the audio on my mac died earlier today  . Can anyone provide some guidance?
      Thanks,
      Lin
