I was working on a client site this morning and needed to provide a way for a mobile phone to click a phone number and open the phone dialer.
This led to an issue where the default computer browser would lead to an unknown page.
I solved this using RT Responsive classes and thought I would share in generic format as a quick, down and dirty solution to anyone else who comes across this same situation.
***Testing phone layout in browser window will still lead to broken page. I find this acceptable for my situation - others may not.

Interesting, I just remark that IOS automatically recognize phone number and to them to a link for the auto diaper. Testing in the X-Code app IOS it bring to a unknown link ( Probably work in a real phone?)
You can turn that off by using a meta tag
<meta name = "format-detection" content = "telephone=no">
I don’t understand, in your case that a desktop computer will modify the phone number as a link....
