How to use Rocket Launcher with existing Joomla Install

So I'm a newbie and would love to be able to take advantage of the Rocket Launcher feature (specificly the demo content setup feature).
The problem I have is that I already have a Joomla install and was wondering if there is a way to still take advantage of this feature? I am using Aplus.net as my host and they actually have a Joomla install built into their control panel that I used.
Does anyone have any insight as to how I can take advantage of all the features of a Rocket Launch without the Joomla install?

- What if you make a new folder/carpet/directory and install RT launcher there?

- My first question is, do you have allot of content worth saving (ie. existing site and you are just wanting to upgrade)? Or, is this a new joomla install you want to just overwrite the first install of joomla?
