How to handle menu breaking onto two lines

Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    • Hi all,

I'm well aware that responsive design is great for mobiles and tablets and all sorts. But I have a reasonably sized screen. I actually don't think it's that big, but of course, that's a schoolboy error. Anyway, on my screen a menu may fit perfectly, but then on a laptop it's on two lines. Phones have a different menu altogether, which works fine. But what's the best solution for the inbetween screen sizes?

      Regards,
      Eoin

    • You have a few options...

      1. Use a different font and/or a smaller font-size.
      2. Reduce paddings and margins.
      3. Make the drop-downs wider (if you're referring to the drop-downs ofc.)
      4. Use shorter words that have the same meaning as the current items.
      5. Re-structure the menu-items...

      I hope this helps.
