I am assuming that the new Joomla theme, Praxis, can be customized for layout of the grid via roksprocket.
I'm considering using this theme, provided I can specify the number of rows and columns in the roksprocket admin area. Is this correct?
Also, I want to know if the filters in roksprocket for joomla can be configured to display user records from the database.
e.g. roksproket-mosaic thumbnails for each user in the users table.
Is this correct?
another question: this may sound obvious, but I want to make sure that you can use the roksprocket admin to setup up a link to each thumbnail (as is usually the case with those controls). I only ask because none of the mosaic/grid thumbnails link to anything on the demo site.
FYI: I posted this in the general forum because I'm not a joomla club member yet. But if I decide to go with this theme, I will renew my membership.
1. you can specify number of rows and columns
2. you can't display user records unless you do a custom development and create custom content provider for RokSprocket
3. yes, you can setup link for each RokSprocket item
Regarding Q & A #2: Instead of trying to feed the roksprocket user records directly, it may be feasible to feed roksprocket articles which use a plugin that embeds a users query. I recall seeing certain joomla/community builder plugins which query the user records based on your criteria.
e.g. an article of the latest users within 30 days. Another article of users belonging to a certain group.
I know the Community Builder extension can query user records, I'm just not sure if you can embed the results in an article to publish the avatars of those query results.
Does that sound like feasible solution?
Do you recommend any user management plugins?
