I know this can be done in the custom HTML and was trying to to it in
Articles - Newsflash
But, Prints the whole article not the link

Will print the link but when clicked opens in the same page not going to the link

Will print the link but when clicked opens in the same page not going to the link with all the other modules on that page
Am I missing some section to tick
I have this working on other versions of Joomla but can't get it working on Joomla 3.0
The template is Chapelco and the only example of the above is a newsflash and that prints the whole article
