Gantry Framework Component Issues

I am using the Gantry framework on my website and really love it. However, I can not figure out why the main component will not render in a key section, or on any new pages/menu items I add. I've combed the forum and reviewed documentation, but for the life of me, can not figure this out.
My test site is www.advent50.com/wpc . The component doesn't appear on the home page as I wished (but a lot of space does where that should appear and I'd like to know how to remove that!). It does appear on all of the other pages throughout the site (and looks great). However, I added a section yesterday (FIND YOUR PLACE) and all pages in that section do not show any content in the content area.

Hi Dan
Some pages are now working because I went in and changed the menu selection from K2 item to Single Article. But, here are some pages where you can't see the component.

Oops, Dan. I may not have answered your question. I want the main component/article to appear on all internal pages. The only page I don't want to see that is on the home page.
I thought I configured Gantry to just have it shut down on the homepage, but it appears that randomly the main copy/content/component doesn't appear on other pages.
I tried changing the menu selections to Joomla article instead of K2 and it seemed to have worked, but I have utterly no idea why. If I use K2 articles, you can't see the core content (as per the examples I sent you).
