Difference between jui->less and templates -> less folder

    • In the Gantry -> assets ->jui -> less -> contains alot of .less files that aren't in the rt_hexeris template less folder.

      What is the difference?

      And when the bootstrap.less file in the rt_hexeris less folder contains alot of @import references, is it referring to those files seeing as they aren't required by the template.

      Assuming that is the case, if I wish to edit any of the files located in the jui -> less location, how do I go about this?

      * note
      Moved this post from the rt_hexeris template forum as it may not be specific to that template.

      I had also posted this in the marketplace, however it wasn't getting any response, so I thought it might be wiser to open it up, so that anyone can post.

      Working with responsive templates and using less is pretty much what I want to use on all my projects with gantry. RT stuff I love, sure they are complex when you dig deep, but they are a work of art, and they always top their previous months effort.

    • Hi there,

      The base Gantry framework and template use a lot of defaults and they tend to be in the assets as opposed to the template. All of the less files in the templates take precedence so act as an override to some of the basics.

      That is probably the simplest way to explain it.

      Hope this helps 8)
