Migrating from one template to another

From searching the forums, it would appear I can switch from one Rocket Theme to another within the same Joomla installation.
Could someone definitively confirm this scenario. I am running one Rocket Theme Joomla template on my site. If I decide to re-new my membership and then upload a different template. Can I switch from my original template to the new template? Will my content stay active & usable within the new template?
Any thoughts and insight would be greatly appreciated. As an FYI, I am running Kiragami and I'd like to migrate to Hexeris. My installation specifics are in my signature.

- Yes it will work, both are powered by Gantry, the only difference is that you will need to reassign module positions to a new template other than that i believe it will work. Styling has the same code and both are powered by Bootstrap.
