Joomla System Information Link not working

For some reason or other the System Information link in the backend of Joomla isn't working and brings up a 404 error with the following
Call stack

We are using Kirigami on J2.5
has anyone and ideas? - My wife and I design, build and maintain websites - for non-profit organisations, therapists, artists, local community groups and small businesses.

Am running J2.5 latest version and the thread is from 2008 and relates to J1.5
Having said that I have experimented with htaccess on several occasions to no avail.
Do you happen to know what the 'link' is that the System Information button goes to?

hi,
that link should usually go to
../administrator/index.php?option=com_admin&view=sysinfo
and display information about your server setup.
you should probably contact your host about this issue or ask at the joomla.org forum.

Thanks so much for your reply
I missed it coming in but in the last few hours I cracked the problem!
Firstly - at some stage when upgrading from Joomla 1.5 - 2.5 the contents of the Joomla administrator/components/com admin folder had been truncated and it was missing several core folders and files!
I found this out by doing a brand new Joomla 2.5 install and after a few hours of testing suddenly noticed this!
By moving these folders and files across onto my existing site all was solved!
