Trouble installing alerionrocketlauncher

Apologies if this post is in the wrong place.
I am new and need help.
I have successfully installed Joomla before, but I am trying to go again via the Rockettheme Alerionrocketlauncher so I can see demo data and edit it.
I have placed the files in httpdocs/alerion and I access the site at heightspet.com/alerion.
When I get to FTP Configuration in the Web Installer, I enter my details, hit Verify FTP settings and I get the error - 500: The specified FTP Directory is not the directory of this Joomla! installation
I then complete the installation process, including manually removing the installation folder and creating a configuration.php file then I hit the SITE button and get the error - Server error.
This server error is in administrator as well.
I am pretty sure all FTP details are correct.
I have previously installed joomla at httpdocs/Joomla and it works fine.
I have entered all of the same details, just changed httpdocs/Joomla to httpdocs/alerion
I have also made a new database on my hosts server for the new installation.
I have double checked spelling dozens of times.
What am I doing wrong ?

If your server is configured properly then you don't need to enter FTP details at all during installation so you might wanna skip that step.
You didn't say which server error did you encounter so it is difficult to provide any specific answer. Check your server error log to see which file or script is causing this server error. That could give you some hints about the real issue - Check my services at: Mihha-Vision

This is what comes up on chrome:
The website encountered an error while retrieving www.heightspet.com/alerion/ . It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Error code: 500
Is this what you mean ?
And how do I configure my server ?

- You have to check with your hosting support to help you find server error log and tell you which file specifically is guilty for this server error. As that message suggests, this is server error and not something we do much about it. Ask your hosting support which handler is configured to handle php files on your web browser. If it is apache2handler then ask them to configure server to use some other which uses your hosting user account for file and folder permissions and not your web server account
