Hi
I was wondering how I could show the Page Heading on top of all blog item-pages
if you look at this typcial blog page on our site
www.asafeworldforwomen.org/global-news/africa/uganda.html
You will see we have the title UGANDA NEWS at the top
If you then click on one of the blog items
Biting Hunger in Karamoja

We would like to be able to have the title of the Blog Section, eg UGANDA NEWS at the top above the article title
I can't work out how to do this!
Also a second question!
Is it possible to create a link around the blog images on the Blog Landing page

Although we are using the latest version of J2.5 - we do not use the Joomla 2.5 image system - instead use the old intro text page break system to create the blog previews.

1. why don't you just try to publish custom html module with the following content above all the articles:
<h1 class="">Uganda News</h1>
2. just select image in the Joomla editor and define a link for it - Check my services at: Mihha-Vision

Actually I found a simple solution which was staring me in the face!
I used Breadcrumbs!
Which actually solved the issue and improved our navigation enormously!
Re the link on images
Yes I understand the standard way of doing this.
Thing is we publish many articles a day and lots more besides and it would be impossible to each one individually.
Also the way we create the Articles is the old fashioned way!
Using JCE for the whole thing - adding images direct into the article and using a read-more break at the same time with the intro text and image in it.
We have used that system for maybe 4 years now and when I looked at the Joomla 2.5 image system it was going to add too much time to the process.
I have actually tried to see if it was possible to do anything within the template itself.
If you have time we use a system for news-module creation throughout the site from a company called Raxo Allmode.
You can see it at work on our front page

Now, within their template structure, the article link is automatically inserted into the images thumbnails on their modules - click on any of the images on the main body of our front-page and you will see what I mean!
Sadly my php is lacking and I can't work out how to do the same for the Joomla blog item images.
I also am not sure it is even possible!

Don't worry! I have been around long enough not to expect too much!
I was more curious to know if anyone else had wanted such a thing and if they had found any solutions I could play with.
Sometimes sending something into the ether works!
