  • Template not saving and crashes Joomla

    • Hi, I have been trying to install a template onto my site for a number of days now and getting really frustrated. I can load the template and open it through the Template Manager and change any of the parameters fine, however when I try to save the template it does nothing. When I try to close the template I get directed to an error page with the following message:

      Not Acceptable

      An appropriate representation of the requested resource /joomla16/administrator/index.php could not be found on this server.

      Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

      I have tried a couple of templates (specifically Alerion and Halcyon). I have tried installing these on a completely new Joomla install on the server, but I get the same result.

      Any help would be appreciated.

    • Since posting this message I have solved this issue. The script was being blocked in the mod_security rule on the server. I contacted my service provider and got them to exclude it and everything is fine now.
