editing the css files for responsive sites rtheme

A little new at the responsive templates, can you please tell me where to edit the css for colors bg etc?
I see the bootstrap and the main files, the css.less will not show me files in dweaver if this is where I edit.
If you could please send me to link for beginners or tell me where to edit.
