Question for anyone familiar with facebook opengraph tags...
Posted 11 years 6 months ago
Hi,
Wondered if someone minded taking a look at my site and try to find out why Facebook incorrectly interprets links from my og tags.
For example, if I try and post the site root
www.theprt.co.uk
in a post on facebook, Facebook decides to link to an old post on the site from the previous design I had almost a year ago. If you give it a go any facebook, you will see what I mean (you dont actually have to post it, just type int he address then cancel the post afterwards!)
If I try and post an article link, although the web address is correct, it does not bring in the article title, image or a description. All I get is the raw link. For example:
www.theprt.co.uk/articles/love-teesside/item/107
It's driving me nuts, I cannot share anything from my site and nor can anyone else.
Google+ seems to interpret everything fine.
Any pointers will be very much appreciated. Thanks =)
If I then click on the link that says "See exactly what our scraper sees for your URL" it shows me the source code of the page it's scraping but this seems to be an old version of my site. I completely deleted that site from my server so im a little baffled as to where it is reading this from as I thought the debug tool forced a rescrape of your site.
Incidentally, the new site colour scheme should be blacks and greys and not beiges in case anyone else is also seeing the old site!
Incidentally, Im using the Kirigami template.
Thanks
