    • Hi, I have just lost 2 websites as a result of updating joomla

Here is the message I get when trying to load the site after the freeze:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/jervisba/public_html/plugins/system/remember/remember.php on line 94

      website address:

      www.jervisbaytouristpark.com.au

      The other site is: www.shoalrescue.com.au

Any help please, this is a major problem.

    • its not a matter of the template or gantry
      Its about this file
      /home/jervisba/public_html/plugins/system/remember/remember.php

The Joomla installer is a bit buggy

    • So what would you recommend? Hold off on updating Joomla 3.2 until it is more stable?

    • right now I wouldn't use J3.2.
if you are on 3.1 I suggest to use 3.1.6 wich has fixed some security issues.
but you can try what has been suggested in the thread I linked.

    • Joomla 3.2 has this bug, and some others, you can easily find them on the forums at joomla.org.
Hold off upgrading, until these bugs are fixed.

    • Backup your Joomla sites with Akeeba Backup BEFORE updating - Akeeba backup will allow you to restore your site. The free version you have to do a reinstall, the subscription version will reinstall from the Control Panel. 8)

I've used Akeeba for a few years now and its got me out of trouble on more than one occasion :D
