    Momentum & other upgrades

Posted 11 years 5 months ago
    • I have been very bad and not updated my Joomla to current version and same with my RocketTheme templates and extensions.

My site was compromised and now I have restored it, but I need to update it from 1.7.1 to 2.5 including my RocketTheme templates and extensions.

If I upgrade my Joomla to 2.5 I will need to update my RocketTheme template and extensions - what is the process in updating the template and extensions?

I have let my RocketTheme subscription lapse, can I access the updated template and extensions?

      Thank you.

You are not the first and won't be the last to fall into that trap.

When you say 'restored' do you mean a clean backup or do you mean you've sanitised the infected pages?

Depends on how you implemented any customisations in J1.5 - If you used a separate css file to save all your changes then you will need to include that after the template upgrade. Upgrades are done by installing the template as per normal.

Sorry, but you can only access upgrades with a valid membership. There are plans to provide new style memberships once our new website/forums go live and some of the options will include lifetime access to templates.

      Hope this helps 8)

The restore was done from a clean backup. It is functional and ready for upgrade.

By customisation I mean the installation and use of the Momentum template with some RocketTheme extentions, I do not recall performing css or php changes to this site.

That is a shame, however I am locked into RocketTheme now so it means I will sign up for membership again to gain access to the compatible template and extensions.

Thanks you very much for your help.

Please expect my return for more assistance when I commence the upgrade :)
