    SOLVED Editing Typography

Posted 11 years 4 months ago
    • Hey Guys,

I'd like to create a new set of typo parameters, I really dig the old style of Legend. Old days, we just edited the typo css page. Is there a simple way to do that now?

I like the current notice styles, but would like to jazz them up and/or add new ones...

Thanks in advance for any quick thoughts- and I do realize this type of customization is not within the parameters of support.

      Thanks again!

    • Hi Tim.

Simply create the css for the class you want and add it to the custom css file for the template.

Simply create a file called "<TEMPLATENAME>-custom.css" and put this file in the CSS folder of the template (where <TEMPLATENAME> is the name of the template as seen in template manager e.g. rt_fracture). GANTRY4 will automatically load this CSS file. If you wish, you can also have browser specific files by appending, for example, "-ie9" making the filename "<TEMPLATENAME>-custom-ie9.css"

      It is that simple. 8)

If this resolves your problem then please edit your first post in this thread by adding SOLVED at the start of the title and then select the green tick icon. This lets the moderators know that it can be moved to the solved section.

      Thanks for your cooperation :)

    • David,

Thanks- This was good. I actually took a typo.css file from an older Joomlart template and copied the entire contents, and modified them. Worked like a charm.

It is a tad clunky, having everything in the custom css file...I just have to be more diligent in labeling items inside that file...

      Thanks again!

    • Hi Tim,

It may be clunky but it doesn't get overwritten when you update template 8)
