    • Never mind actually, I'll just post it there on my own.

    • Hi there,

Ok, though maybe that should be made clearer upfront for WordPress users. Your comments make us feel like second rate citizens.
Not meant to make anyone feel second rate, just that most of the users that post here are Joomla users. However, all users, (Joomla, WordPress, phpBB, RT Extensions) should provide information about their basic set up in their first post. That is just common sense or we have to waste time asking for more information, which in turn delays us in being able to help the member.

      Cheers

    • Talk about rubbing salt into a wound. Now you're pretty much saying I don't have common sense and just wasted your time. Seriously, you're just making it worse now. This is the kind of thing that needs staff review, that is, proper handling of two different (apparently vastly different) types of customers: WordPress and Joomla.

    • I just reviewed the last dozen relevant/technical inquiries in this forum heading, and the vast majority do not provide the basic information about their setup in their first post. The bottom line is, it's not as 'common sense' as you think it is, so who's wasting who's time? Just WordPress customers?

It has nothing to do with rubbing salt in any wound. My comments were posted so that anyone reading the post would realise that it makes sense to give us more information when posting. That will prevent your problem taking longer to solve because we end up giving you wrong information without that base info.

We answer around 4,000 posts per month and we have to try to ensure we answer as many posts as effectively as we can. This is what keeps members happy. We cannot do that if posts are in wrong forums and don't contain the basic information. Simple statement of fact, nothing more nor less.

    • We ALL have priorities David, not just you, not just Rocketthemes. Though I'm not the kind of person to say so, some may argue that one's time is more valuable than a Rockettheme technician's, while it sounds like you're saying just the opposite. What I'm saying though, is that the forums needs be tweaked to save everyone's time, because as I stated in the previous post, it's not working as you think it should.

All the more reason to follow our forum guides on tips for posting. That way you get a quicker and more accurate answer.

Not at all what I am saying. I have stated that we want to solve problems quickly but that cannot be as effective for the member if we do not have the base information to start with.

The forums are already in the process of being completely revamped along with the rest of the RT site and membership plans, documentation and a whole host of other things. You can read more here - www.rockettheme.com/blog/team/1988-sneak...new-rockettheme-site

As I have said, more than once, we are just trying to help and to do that effectively we need base information.

    • I understand that, and that can be said without stating that it's 'common sense' and 'wasting your time' otherwise. I am thinking the same thing on my end.
