I use Simplex (but have noticed it in some of the newer ones) on one of my major sites and it constantly locks up to the point where FF crashes or I have to wait a minute or two for it the pop up window to hit "Stop Script" or "Debug" (this is only sometimes) or "Continue".
This is extremely annoying to visit the site and to work on the site...is there a setting or something I am missing?
Thanks William ???

Yes, I know that it only effects the newer templates...I play with some many templates trying to figure out which one will best suit the site. I will check to see if there are any new updates, but even then - my concern is the "lowest denominator" (the user that is the least experienced and doesn't keep up to date) who just might walk away from the site because as far as they are concerned it is the site not that they are outdated (heavens forbid ).
Thanks,
William

Are you running Firebug? I turn it off unless I need it, because I have noticed that if my computer goes 6+ hours without a reboot, and I am doing a lot of browsing, that I get serious FF stability issues. It was driving me crazy until I realized it was Firebug that was causing the problem. If that is the case with you, then don't worry about it, as most of your users will not have Firebug loaded.

I HAVE BEEN GOING INSANE over wondering what the heck is wrong with FF... I was thinking of changing the two "F's" in FireFox to mean something else - Fudging Fudged-Up
Thank you I just turned Fire Bug off...hopefully that will make my life easier. I also no longer use All-in-One Side Bar or Download Statusbar Add-ons either - I liked them but they locked up firefox when on.
Thank You - hopefully this will resolve some other issues I have been having.
Thanks,
William

It's very likely related to 3rd party extensions for firefox. I have had problems several times with pages just not loading completely. I resolved the issue by completely cleaning out firefox and installing from scratch. The only extensions I run are the developer tools and firebug, and I ONLY turn on firebug when i need it. It really can cause big problems if you leave it on all the time.
Oh and Matthew - I am tired of feeling like a lost puppy in everything!!!!!
I'll always try to help with Web related problems, but for anything else, I am just as lost as anybody, so if you find someone to cure the lost puppy blues, let me know!
I've never had the problems that you relate with FF! Fyi, I don't use Firebug.

btw, there is an option in the firebug script window.. click on the "options" dropdown on the right, and uncheck "Break on all errors" William the Artist wrote:
