I am wondering how I edit an SMF template and then try it out?
I use apps like LAMP and JSAS to see if my Joomla site templates are modified and work correctly before I upload.
I host/admin quite a small and busy (for its size) SMF forum and its time for a change. What I don't want to do is edit the live site as I go as this would be unprofessional> Ideally I need the template with our logo ect ready just to change instantly with minimum fuss to members.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Yeah I suppose. I was more hoping to get an answer here as its a rocket SMF template.

I used Ravenswood at one point to set up a server on my computer and test SMF...might be worth a shot to set that up and as you edit and save the images you can see how it looks.
Do you have a link to the theme your are thinking of editing?

if i knew what i was doing i could change it on the fly at this point.
