I believe this is allong the same line of thinking. RT - I'm in the middle of migrating my clients to Joomla 3. And, while I noticed it a while back, after thought, I'm finding the Authentication requirement a problem for me. Not technically - ethically. When I give my clients their product, be that a brochure or a website, I give them every part of that product as I dont sign on to the practice of "if I hold back some files they will need me in the future". I think the idea of designer ownership of working files is shortsighted rubbish. So, assigning that belief to my websites, how am I supposed to give my clients complete access to their new product IF I enable auto update? Will I have to supply them with my RT credentials? Or is there a way we can add client IDs to our account with RT?
I can see the logic of posting here because of the Topic title. However...things have changed so Duane's issue is no longer relevant.
So in this span of time where we used to have paid for Membership extensions that needed a verfication system for updating, Andy has made ALL extensions free. So RokUpdater is no longer required.
