How to highlight a main menu item when using aliases...?

Hallo.
This is my website url:
www.ondesign.eu/viniriccardi/
In the main (horizontal) menu I have a "Chi siamo" text-only separator with 3 menu items in the dropdown.
The 3 items in the dropdown are "alias" of the 3 items in the "Chi siamo" module menu in sidebar A position.
Every link works as expected but I have a problem: the "Chi siamo" text-only separator menu item in the horizontal menu bar, DO NOT stay highlighted.
Actually this is one of my "never-resolved" Joomla problem and your advice will be very appreciated.

- You can't highlight menu item with separator menu item type since it is not a linked to any menu item or article (doesn't have itemid linked to it in the Joomla DB tables)
