    trouble installing rocketlauncher with godaddy

Posted 11 years 1 month ago
    • I've been having trouble doing the rocketlauncher install of wordpress with a godaddy shared hosting account. I have a wordpress installation in the root directory as well as other wordpress installations in sub directories under the root.

When using godaddy's quick wordpress install it creates a directory for you for the domain name you select. This is the part that is confusing to me for the manual installation. I tried creating a new directory and used ftp to send the rocketlauncher files up but going to wp-admin/install.php resulted in an internal server error instead of the page where you create the wp-config.php file.

What step am I missing as far as where to ftp the rocketlauncher files? Since they are not going to be in the root, is it correct to just create a new directory and ftp rocketlauncher files into it? (after extracting them) Does it matter what the directory is called? I'm confused by what would connect this newly created directory to my add on domain.

    • there's 1000 ways to do things and all... but are you intending to host 2 seperate sites on single domain? is the joomla site replacing the wp site? is this just for test purposes?

why were you navigating to wp-admin/install.php, to install this Rocket Launcher?... is that the folder you uploaded the RL files to?
