SOLVED Missing RokGallery controls (next&prev) for Menu gallery type.

Posted 11 years 1 month ago
    • Hi, I'm looking for a solution to display "next&prev" controls(arrows) on RokGallery. I have created a Gallery View Menu (A gallery view of image thumbnails that links to details and a larger image). The only inconvinient i see here is that i cannot swipe next or prev photos (there are no controls to do that), my only option is to open a photo and re-close it to be able to see the next photo or a different one. Now if i create a RokGallery module, the controls exist and everything it's pergect, but not in the RokGallery Menu Type. Can anyone help me with this? I'm using Chapelco themplate with the latest Joomla and RokGallery.

    • Could you please post a URL to your site (this can be done in the secure area tab if you prefer) so we can look for you. Without a link to page where the problem is on your site it is quite hard for us to provide the best solution due to so many variables. We try to provide file names and line numbers for code changes and if changes have already been made then our advice may be incorrect.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Hi, after making few tries i figured out where this is came from, and i don't know if this is a RokGallery bug or something's wrong on my websire(i'm working in local), i didn't made any changes on the template so faar. So... my solution or more likely my bug was caused by quotes.. yes (""), a gallery named simply Galery "Alpha" with quotes does not show the (next&prev) controls but if I rename it simple Gallery Alpha, everything's back to normal, nomater if i use this gallery on menu or simply module.. Problem solved for me, i don't know if this is general but is someone got the same error this should be a solution...

    • Ok, I just tested that and it all worked for me... can you tell me the exact rokgallery menu item setting you had for that gallery name with quotes in it. Also, what version of joomla and rokgallery were you using?

      Regards, Mark.

    • Ok well sorry but I cannot recreate that issue. But as long as you now have a working solution, great. You shouldn't really have quotes in the gallery names anyway.
