    • HI,

I didnt know how to search on this topic, i tried, but was unable to find what i needed to know.
Ok so ive used the rocket theme rocket launcher numerous times, and im quite happy with the layout of these, wth some minor adjustments ie, turn off modules etc and edit them as required, its quite useful to get a site up fast and have good functionality. However if i already have a site and want to change the template, want to use the layout of the rocket theme but the data from the old site. this may be an elementary question, however i was unable to fiund an answer.
Can you please point me in the right direction for the easiest way? or is it just a matter of loading a rocket launcher site and then replacing the db with the old Db and then update he articles as reqd?

Thanks for any help and or pointing me in the right direction.

    • Hi Littlegong,

The approach I would take is to simply upload the template you want. If the site has already been using one of our templates then most modules will retain their positions and settings, but you would have to configure the template settings manually.

The reason I go this way is that historically I have always had problems when I import data to the database. I waste more time preparing for transfer than it takes to manually edit settings again.

      Hope this helps 8)
