Need Thoughts on Usability Question

Howdy,
I've got a question that has been bugging me. If you look at the attached screenshot, you'll see an example of what I'm working on using the Equinox template.
It's a screenshot of a section page, and you'll see a listing of all the categories. I've also added links to the category listings on the splitmenu (see on the left side).
My concern with this though is that there are now two links to the same piece of content competing for the user's attention. Is this going to be a problem or am I merely overthinking things?

- That looks fine, at the end of the day the mainbody just shows links as a landing page when you click articles - once you click, that page is gone, so makes sense to have the links stay on the left.
