    • when a site loads completely "flat"... just top to bottom text and links, completely unstyled, it tends to be a server resource issue... or even a network issue, causing extremely slow load times and the failure of various files to load... i've seen it happen on the best of sites (Amazon.com, eBay, etc) and it'd certainly be concerning if it was happening on my own...

      but unless it's a very regular thing it could be hard to sleuth out... you'd definitely want to check server logs for any errors/resource issues and use your browser's developer tools > network and console areas, to see what files repeatedly fail to load

      I hit your site pretty hard from several browsers, as fast as I could manually refresh em all and clear caches... and I couldn't get any styling failures
    • SEARCH the forum first! These boards are rich in knowledge and vast in topics. This includes searching just the 'Solved' forums, using Google, and using ChatGPT :woohoo:

    • Thanks for your reply. I contacted the host who indicated that the problem is a caching issue with joomla. He suggested taking a closer look at the modules. I am a bit out of my depth for this. Might you have some suggestions?

    • it appears to have been Rokbooster causing the problem. Inspect Element/Console pointed toward Rokbooster. I disabled Rokbooster and all is well. Can this be fixed?

    • RokBooster generally works OK with a barebones install... but once a lot of extensions start getting in the mix Rokbooster can cause issues occassionally... it's an exceptionally complicated compression tool and troubleshooting is in turn exceptionally complicated... in this instance, I'd recommend leaving it disabled.
