    Initial Page Load Is Slow?

    • I'm developing a site using Joomla 3.6, Anacron with rokBooster. The site is on a shared host. I'm providing a link below to find out if I'm the only one having a slow first page load. The initial load time for me is 10 seconds or more. Any help is appreciated.

    • loaded in like 3 seconds for me...

      shared hosts are... well... shared hosts... they tend to load up as many possible accounts on as limited resources as possible... and Gantry, Joomla, and RokSprocket are "beefy" things... RokBooster will help, but it may be impossible to overcome cheap hosting at the end of the day...

    • I've found that VPS is the most bang for my buck certainly...


      I like knownhost.com for price/features/support

      myhosting.com - good price, ok support

      liquidweb.com would be a step-above in terms of hardware and support... a little spendy though

      and I stay away from these guys: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endurance_International_Group

      **everything above is in regards to VPS services... all these guys sell other services too
