Header Logo in Firefox vs IE

In Firefox my header logo appears fine but in IE there is a white box with an X along with the correct logo? Where does the white box come from and how do I get rid of it? Thanks

From index.php (in the template folder), try removing the following line of code:
<a href="http://www.firstjerusalem.org" class="nounder"><img src="http://www.firstjerusalem.org/images/logo.png" alt="" id="logo" /></a>

I dont see that line of code...what I see is this:
<a href="<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>" class="nounder"><img src="<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/images/logo.png" alt="" id="logo" /></a>
Is it safe to assume that there should be something after <a href=" ???
If so, what should be there.

I removed the LOGO Hivemind from the top and I did not comment it out (badd programmer). Could some please tell me where it goes between what and what... thanks
