    SOLVED Legal question about template

Posted 9 years 11 months ago
    • Hello!
I have this question about template usage: I've just bought a Rockettheme template for a friend's website and I've bought it with a single license.
He don't have a personal domain yet. My idea is to keep his website on my server in a private subfolder (for example: BROKEN LINK REMOVED) while I'm working on it and when building will be completed, I'll move it to the definitive domain (for example: BROKEN LINK REMOVED).

Is this legal? Are there license issues with this?

      Thank you!

    • See http://www.rockettheme.com/docs/accounts_billing/site_licenses.md

You have purchased two individual templates - therefore you can only use the each template on one live domain name.

But if you are only using that subdomain for testing/development and keep it in offline mode I don't think RT will have any issue with that.

      Regards, Mark.

That's exactly the idea, keep it in online mode on my server during development and move it on the final place when finished!

I hope you mean "offline" not "online". You should keep it in offline mode on your development server so that it's not accessible to anyone other than yourself.
