Google has launched into their new directive to rank sites on mobile content. warning messages are being sent to all developers that Google now requires access to the sites css and java files.
The standard robot.txt file disallows access the template directory so therefore dissalows access to the template css file. Guess you can allow access to the css and a guess also less directories but there are so many css files for just about every module, plugin and component that connecting with all is going to be a total nightmare.
perhaps this is now a chance to build a new plugin to find links to all these files and create the necessary links to the robot.txt file.

By default Joomla disallows the templates and media directories.
Allowing these directories in the robot.txt might fix the initial problem but will it just open the flood gates to greater problems? - This image is hidden for guests.
