Rocketlauncher and Database Error

I have been literally trying to get Rocketlauncher to install on my GoDaddy account. But It will not get passed the section where it creates a database. I deleted old databases and even selected the option to remove old databases through rocketlauch's install section. But I always get this error message
Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: Could not connect to MySQL.
Can anyone please tell me how I can fix this problem?
I cannot change hosting services at this time so it looks like I'm stuck with GD.
One more queston. After looking through my FTP, I notice there is no httpdocs directory? At work that is where we store the files for Joomla. I know I am missing something here. Can anyone tell me why there is no httpdocs?

- Good news! After going over the directions here again, I see I had to carefully create my own MySQL on my hosting server. After carefully following the directions I finally installed Rocket Launcher.
