  • SOLVED Conversion of RocketTheme Templates to alternate platform (Flask/Python)

    • This is more of a testimonial than anything.

      I have been a member and purchased themes here for a few years now. I have to say, the quality of these themes is unsurpassed. They provide a lot of pizzaz right from the start, but the grid system is so easy to use that it can be easily modified. The ability to mix/match module designs and the great table, form, and paragraph default styling options make things look snazzy without too much hassle. Really love the font-awesome integration and the bootstrap components.

      Anyway, I have been asked to create a Flask/Python website, and to save time on the code, I used a rockettheme template so I could focus on the back-end, which required considerable work.

      My experience converting the theme for use in another environment went very well, and for those thinking of using a different platform altogether, you can still pick rockettheme. Obviously you will not get support from them for this use, but if you know what you're doing you can still make it work.

      90% of the work has been done on pages behind the login barrier. Most of the public pages still have dummy content on them, so it looks a lot like the vermilion demo. This is a pharmacy benefits healthcare website and there is lots of cool stuff happening behind the scenes. It is designed to be a web app, but also have a few static pages on the front end to help sell the services.

    • Thanks for the metrics. Some of those things we will not turn on until development reaches a stable release since we are essentially pushing changes to the main website every night. No sense caching things that will change every day.
