hi
My site is offline at present as we build it out - I wanted to change the text on the maintenance page so tried to edit the -php file...
However, if I make any change to the highlighted text the page will not load...
any help?

What template? what CMS? you should be creating language overrides for the constants in language manager.

OK - discovered that I can't use any kind of punctuation in the text - so can't won't work - cannot will
Using character-code.com/punctuation-html-codes.php worked... took me a while to figure that out!

You can use punctuation - you just have to "escape" the value in the string e.g. test="Steve\'s value";
