How to get rid of Facebook Comment

  • How to get rid of Facebook Comment

    • Hi all,

I have recently updated to the new version of Joomla and I am trying to remove the "Facebook Comment" feature under every single article and photo on my site. I have looked through the php and html files, joomla backend, Rockettheme Enigma template options, and all modules and plugins and can find absolutely nothing about "fb, facebook, comment, etc" to remove.

I know that there must be a snippet of code somewhere in the html but I think ive searched every plausible html and php file and have found nothing. also, there are no plugins on the side that call this code out.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    • well, that is not a part of the template and not a part of the joomla core ... so I suggest to check again for a 3rd-party plugin ...

I have looked at the php and html folders in the public_html folder and the template folders and can no longer find it. is the index html file now more deply hidden for security purposes?

The facebook comment html was added before migration to the current joomla version, now, the html file that it was added to is 33bytes and has only one line of code in it.

    • Found it, it was actually RokComments. Disabled them and the Facebook Comments dissappeared from the articles on the site. Thanks!
