    • There are various products on JED that allow export/import of joomla parts. One such products is j2xml. But, this is not going to be straightforward at all. Template config and particles config is going to be tricky. Why do you need to do this? Can you not just clone the whole site (using akeeba backup and akeeba kickstart) or is there other content that you are trying to keep.

In the future wer'e going to provide import/export facilities for Gantry 5 but right now it's a manual job to move config and particles and it is prone to mistakes that could break your site completely.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Ok, I guess it's better to manually copy/ paste, since there are only parts of templates/ modules I want to duplicate ...
      Thank you

    • Yes, the safe way is to install the same template on your new site and then do the set up there - copy/pasting as needed from your old site - in this way you can be sure you won't break anything. It is possible to do copying files but it's complex and prone to mistakes being made.
