Fatal error while updating to Joomla 3.5

  • Fatal error while updating to Joomla 3.5

    • I updated one of my sites to 3.5 and after it downlaoded and installed the updated this error came up:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cd164e9be() (previously declared in /home/shelbypaint/public_html/libraries/cms/installer/adapter/title5.php:26) in /home/shelbypaint/public_html/libraries/cms/installer/adapter/title5.php on line 39

It looks, however, like the 3.5 udpate stuck as it says that's what version I'm running and the site seems to be functioning OK.

The problem is that now I have several extensions that need updating and can't update because each time I try the same error comes up.

I searched for the error but found no matches to my problem.

      Any ideas?

    • This happens every time to users who are too fast pulling the trigger ot update Joomla to a new family version. You won't find anything on Google as this is too new.
I'm assuming you meet these requirements?

      Requirements for Supported Software
      Requirements for Joomla! 3.x
      SoftwareRecommendedMinimumMore information
      PHP (Magic Quotes GPC off)5.6 or 7.0 +5.3.10 + http://www.php.net/
      Supported Databases:
      MySQL (InnoDB support required)5.5.3 +5.1 + http://www.mysql.com/
      SQL Server10.50.1600.1 +10.50.1600.1 + http://www.microsoft.com/sql
      PostgreSQL9.1 +8.3.18 + http://www.postgresql.org/
      Supported Web Servers:
      Apache
      (with mod_mysql, mod_xml, and mod_zlib)
      2.4 +2.0 + http://www.apache.org/
      Nginx1.8 +1.0 + http://wiki.nginx.org/
      Microsoft IIS77 http://www.iis.net/

Try this, Clone your site from your remote server to a sub-folder with a free copy of Akeeba backup

Then in the sub-folder -> Extension Manager -> Manage -> start uninstalling any non-RocketTheme or non-Joomla extensions till you find the one that causes the error.
