SEF URLS Odd Behaviour

Hi,
I am using SEF URLS but the articles bring up a load of other modules I don't want eg:
capital-aluminium-extrusions.co.uk/index...ber-2110-equal-angle
If you use the old non SEF URL:
capital-aluminium-extrusions.co.uk/index...ndard-sections?id=21
You will see the difference, I want the content as per the second URL
Any ideas how to resolve this?

- It's consisten using those URLS I haven't tried other articles.

Are those articles actually tied to a Menu Item? If they're not, they inherit the layout of whatever page they were navigated from and/or your default template layout...
In order to control what modules appear on what page you need to have that page/article tied down to a Menu Item... you can use a Hidden Menu for this if you'd like:
