Fracture Top Nav Menu Width

  • Fracture Top Nav Menu Width

    • Looking for suggestions: I'm working with Fracture (love it) with updated Joomla 3.whatever. I have never been able to figure out how to get my main nav menu to go wider w/o bumping new menu items to a second line. Attached is my current site with it all on one line. I just want to add an extra 1 or two menu items (sections) but the menu won't go wider.

      Thanks in advance.

    • Hi there,

It will depend on the screen size it is being viewed on. I just added 2 extra items and it stayed on one line with my screen being 1920px wide. If I shrink my screen below 1200px it wraps. That is the expected behaviour. You could write extra css to cover smaller screens and make the font smaller, reduce padding etc. but that can be a lot of work.

      Hope this helps 8)

    • Thanks but I've played and when I downsize, it responsivly goes to mobile (see attached), whcih is great!

But no matter what I try I can't seem to get the top menu to move a bit further to the left (see attached 2). Since my site is live I'm not adding another menu item because it bumps to a second line. Just can't get the left margin for the menu to move. In template I have it as full and only 1 (see attached 3).

    • Hi there,

Can you use the 'secure' option above post input to provide me with a temporary Super Admin access please and I will take a look to see what the cause may be.

      Thanks :)

    • Hi Jocelyn,

Well I added 2 extra items and no wrapping at all. I have attached a screenshot.

Is this happening with any specific browser?

    • So greatful for your testing.

I just did the same with a very small menu on the right side and it bounces to the second line when you being to shrink window, just before the template responsively went into mobil layout.

I've added a fake [...] menu item and that bouncing to line 2 seems to make the real menues stay put just prior to the mobile response. I can defintely live with that. Before when Online Entry/Store was the far right menu item, it was the one that got pushed to the second line when the screen got smaller.
Again, thanks for helping me through!

    • Hi Jocelyn,

What browser are you using? Do you have your browser zoom on?

In Chrome check settings and make sure zoom is set to 100%

In Firefox it is also in setting but simply shows - 100% +

      Hope this helps 8)
