Do not display Additional Info and other metadata of images in RokGallery?

Posted 8 years 10 months ago
    • Hi,

I am using RokGallery 2.41 with Callisto and Joomla! 3.5.1. How can the "Additional Info", other metadata (such as the file name) and the "download" link that is shown for each image in the gallery be suppressed? I have searched in the RokGallery instructions, in the RocketTheme forums and of course the web in general, but could not find an answer. If this data cannot be suppressed in the front end view of a gallery, what other extensions are recommended for galleries and slideshows that do allow control over what data is displayed?

      Thank you!

Edited on 19/6: After posting, I discovered where most of the unwanted data can be removed (Menus: Edit Item > Detailed Page Options). However, I have still not been able to remove the heading "Additional Info" that appears in the bottom right hand corner of each image in the detailed view, nor the file name; nor have I been able to figure out where the "Description" that appears in the bottom left hand corner of each image can be entered/edited. I would be grateful for suggestions. Thank you.

2nd edit on 19/6: The above-mentioned issues apply whether an image is published (triangle in top right corner of the image in the RokGallery component is green) or unpublished (!). Why do images that are unpublished appear in the respective galleries on the site??

    • It's the slices in an image that need to be published (not the image itself) and this is what determines in which gallery an image appears (because in the slide you choose a gallery).

Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and i'll have a look for you.

You will find this tutorial link helpful too http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/joomla-extension-rokgallery/151544-rokgallery-101-introduction

      Regards, Mark.
