    • Okay - the header-bg.png image that I modified and exported is showing up as transparent in IE6 now, so it's definately something I did during the course of editing the template that screwed it up. I'm going to redo all of the work I had done on the modification I was making and check what happens in IE6 after each step, I'll post back if I figure out what was causing this.

    • On the line begining with img you have no reference to DIV elements. You need to add in DIV and any other elements that the fix should be affecting. Look at my example above. Just separate them with commas.

    • Did you possibly change the name of the template? If so, you have to fix the path in iepngfix.htc (thanks James!)

    • I just save the logo as .gif and tell my template_css.css to point to the .gif not .png

Trouble with .gif is the very limited colour pallet - 256 colours causes banding in gradients. But hey, if it works for you then great!

This .png thing has been driving me nuts. I finally fixed the issues (today) with the ultimate png fix mambot

All this aggravation once again because of some bad, retrograde software that won't go away!

Hehe I often feel tempted to not fix png files for IE6.. I mean then people can see how crap that browser is... We are using sweat and hours of work to make it all look lovely in ie6, so people dont really need to update do they :) It works and looks like it should.

If the developers of Crysis could make that game look and play awesome on an old PC we wouldnt need to upgrade either :)

    • Another solution would be to no longer use .PNG transparancy. :)
