Trying to Find the Forum Topic for Upgrading Joomla 2.5 to 3

Hi,
I am trying to find the really helpful forum topic that explains in detail how to upgrade from Jooma 2.5 to 3.X. I beleive it was posted by a forum moderator.
I remember reading about upgrading from joomla 2.5 to joomla 3.1 before upgrading to the latest 3.X version but I can't find the forum thread. I have tried doing a search but can't find it can somone post the link to the thread?

Hello yaani,
Not sure what forum topic you are speaking about, but here are a few tips:
While on Joomla 2.5.28, start by installing the latest version of your template.
Gantry Framework (4.1.32):
gantry.org/downloads#gantry4
And any RocketTheme extensions (and any Third Party Extensions - ensure they are Joomla 3.x compatible):
www.rockettheme.com/joomla/extensions
Then, before you update, disable the Remember Me plugin via Extensions > Plugins.
Then you can update simply with Joomla Update via Components > Joomla Update in your Joomla administrator.
If you do not see the option to update to Joomla 3.6.x, select the "Options" button in the Joomla Update screen -> select "Short Term Support" in the "Update server" parameter, then Save & Close.
You can re-enable the Remember Me plugin once you are safely on Joomla 3.6.x.
Always, always, back up your website before updating.
