Get Email Notifications for Specific Product Updates

As you may well know we publish all our product updates here:
www.rockettheme.com/product-updates
We also have an RSS Feed there. With just about any RSS reader or software you can typically create rules to highlight or notify you of certain events, like anytime a new feed item contains the word "RokSprocket" for example.
If you don't want to use RSS software though and would still like to get notified for specific product releases, well then this guide is for you
Fist thing you'll need to do is set up an account here: ifttt.com/
Create a New Recipe

Your "This" is going to be their RSS Applet, so search for "rss"

Your Trigger is going to be "New feed item matches"

Get the Current Update RSS feed from here: www.rockettheme.com/product-updates

Enter the Feed URL, choose your keyword of the Product you want the updates for, and click "Create Trigger". Here, I'm using "Requiem"

Now we need our action, or "That" item, which is Email. So Search out the Email Applet.

Select the only option, "Send me an email"

Format how you want your Email to be composed like and click Create Action

You should be presented with this screen... with your email visible in the right box.

It should be "On" by default, you do not need to "Publish" it.
Now, when an update for Requiem is released, IFTTT.com will send me an email

- sure, you can setup your IFTTT filters however you'd like... I have about a dozen rockettheme products that send me notifications this way
