  • Combine css files. Template rt_requiem, Joomla 3

      I want to figure out how to do my blog faster. I want to combine all css files for one file, but I need some help for this.

      I use Template rt_requiem, Joomla 3, web site - bloger-trip.ru

      In inner pages I have 9 css files. I need combine it and create only one. In this case I have 2 questions:

      1) I need create one css file, for example, my-style.css. Then copy all styles from .css files. Is it correct?

      2) Then I should add file my-style.css on template and delete path for other 9 css files. Where exactly I should write path for my-style.css? And in what exactly files written path for other css files? Can you give me some clue how do it?

    • Don't even attempt to manually combine files yourself - it's very unlikely that you will do everything correctly to keep things working. Instead use a compressor/combiner such as our own "rokbooster" or "JCH_optimize" that will do this for you.

      Rokbooster has to be tuned to your particular environment and extensions - this is not something we can do for you as part of this support forum. I encourage you to read the rokbooster documentation to learn how to add exclusions and change the many other settings in rokbooster. Once tuned rokbooster will speed up your site so it's worth the effort.

      Could you plz tell me, what`s the file`s name which is responsible for main page template rt_requiem?

    • There is no single file that does that. Gantry assembles everything from lots of CSS files, and TWIG and YAML and HTML and PHP.
