Bounce Rate - Mobile compatibility

Hi all,
I am using Topaz template and site is quite a few images yet they have been optimized so as to improve the speed of the site. However, the bounce rate is ridiculous 70%+ consistently! My old site with original rocket theme template (not sure which one about a year ago) had bounce rate of 3% consistently over 6 months - brilliant.. and this site is much better on the eye, with improved features. This is having a big impact on user retention and having looked at site and analytics, it could be to do with compatibility with older browsers I.E and Android on mobile as well as others together with site speed, which I have done my best with up to now.
I'm also using roksprocket to show images in slideshows for user to scroll through article. Any help on this issue would be GREATLY appreciated. I have spent months and months on the site (years probably) and would like it to be as user friendly as possible moving forwards.

Nothing we can really help with here directly... but it usually has to do with above-the-fold content... if your users aren't finding the same quick links or desired piece of content quickly then they may be bouncing out...
If it's strictly mobile user bounce rate that's high you need to compare the experience between your old site and your new site... what link were most users who stuck around clicking first on the old site... is that link still easy to find on the new site?
Make sure you're filtering out bots and direct traffic to ensure you're getting an accurate view of your real bounce rate - SEARCH the forum first! These boards are rich in knowledge and vast in topics. This includes searching just the 'Solved' forums, using Google, and using ChatGPT
